Secret Tips

If  you just want to see the city like the locals do, and experience real Munich culture, check out these spots.

our Hotel in the
heart of Munich

We call the Pini-Haus our home, and are located right at Karlsplatz. The historic building, designed by Joseph von Schmaedel, was completed in 1877 and survived both World Wars with minimal damage. Originally called "Imperial Haus" after the Café Imperial, it was rebranded in 1970 by the optician shop Pini, a name that remains today. Known for its historical and architectural significance, the building remains a key part of Munich’s cityscape.

Whether visiting Munich for business or pleasure, the hotel is the perfect home base.  The famous shopping street "Kaufingerstrasse" starts directly opposite at Karlsplatz/Stachus and leads straight to Marienplatz and the Viktualienmarkt.

Here you’re in the heart of the city! The main train station is just a few steps away, and directly in front of the hotel you’ll find the subway, S-Bahn and tram, making it a convenient starting point to get to your business meeting, or to visit one of Munich’s many attractions. You are neither far away from the airport (about 40 minutes) nor from the Riem convention center (about 20 minutes).
